The Fund supports projects in the following four key categories: species research, habitat protection, animal rescue and rehabilitation, and conservation education.

The Fund provides grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, accredited universities, and research centers throughout the world.

The application deadline is December 1, 2009.

In addition to the regular grants, Animal Crisis Grants are offered to provide rapid funding to aid wildlife and habitats in peril due to either natural or human caused events.
