For Your Information

I hope everyone had a great spring break, I know I did!!

We have been having a few issues with proposal submission as of late. Before any proposal is submitted to an external funding agency, they must be approved for submission by key people on campus. For this reason, we have developed an Internal Approval to Submit Form. This form should be filled out and signed by all of the necessary individuals, which include the Project Director( s), Chair, Dean, VPAA and VPBO. As the Grants Office Director, I will also sign the form before submission. This ensures that the proposal follows the guidelines and the budget has been properly developed. Once the Form has been signed by all required parties, the proposal can be submitted to the funding agency. All approvals MUST be obtained BEFORE the proposal can be submitted, whether it is a hard copy or electronic submission.

It is important to contact the Grants Office early in the process so that we can help you with the Internal Approval Form and other necessary forms that may require authorized signatures. The only people authorized to sign contract or grant agreements on behalf of the university are Mr. Dan Whitfield, VPBO, and the President.

Please check out the submission procedures:
