The Association for Frontotemporal Dementias provides support for basic and clinical research in frontotemporal dementias. Proposals are designed for generating preliminary data toward larger grant application to the National Institutes of Health or other public or private agencies concerned with this important medical and social problem. The maximum award amount is $60,000 for 1 year. The funds do not cover indirect costs or institutional overhead. The maximum for durable equipment is $5000. The maximum for publication cost is $300. The maximum travel amount for one investigator to participate in the International Frontotemporal Dementias meeting held once every 2 years is $1000.

Applications are due by 28 June 2010. See full announcement for application instructions. Awards will be announced on 7 September 2010. The grant period is from 1 October 2010 to 1 October 2011. Applications must be submitted electronically in PDF format to grants@ftd-picks.org.
