Artist Communities: Grants for Art Projects: Art Works

This program provides support to community arts projects that address one of the following outcomes: Creation - the
creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence; Engagement - public engagement with diverse and excellent
art; Learning - lifelong learning in the arts; and Livability - the strengthening of communities through the arts.
Within these outcomes, priority is given to activities that demonstrate innovation in the following ways: are likely to
prove transformative with the potential for meaningful change; are distinctive, offering fresh insights and new value
for their fields or the public through unconventional solutions; and have the potential to be shared or emulated, or are
likely to lead to other innovations. Note: Community arts projects proposed by consortiums must demonstrate innovation
to be eligible for support.
