AASCU Grants Resource Center

ASU is now a member of the AASCU Grants Resource Center!

What they do:

- Publish information on funding
- Offer extensive proposal development resources
- Network with funders and research professionals

On their website you can find the following resources:

• The GRC Bulletin is distributed twice a week and synopsizes all grant announcements from Grants.gov, the Federal Register, and FedBizOpps.gov that are relevant to higher education institutions.

• Deadlines lists notices of application deadlines three months in the future. The monthly publication includes program descriptions, priorities, complete contact information, and links to pertinent Websites for all opportunities. Entries are sorted by discipline.

• GrantWeek features in-depth articles with editorial commentary on strategies for grant competitiveness, program analysis, regulatory issues, and the impact of legislative initiatives on discretionary funding.

• GRC GrantSearch allows the user to search the grant funding opportunity database using five criteria: academic subject, funding sponsor, deadline month and text. • And much more!!!

There are two ways to get to the website. Link through ASU Grants Office website— www.aug.edu/grants  and click on the AASCU Grants Resource Center Link in the left hand column, or go to their website directly at: http://www.aascu.org/grc/default.htm

You will need a username and password to access the information so please contact the Grants Office for that information. You will also be receiving a flyer in your mailbox next week with the user name and password, as well as more information about grant writing resources that are available through the Grants Office website.

Grant Proposal and Submission Procedures

As of late there has been some confusion about proposal submission and procedures. Faculty and administrators are highly encouraged to contact the Grants Office Director to discuss a potential project or grant application. Contacting the Grants Office early in the process will allow us to provide you with the highest level of service to make your proposal even more competitive and to lower the frustration that can occur while preparing a proposal and the associated budget and budget narrative. You can find out more about submission procedures at the Grants Office website at www.aug.edu/grants.  Go to “Submission Procedures” under “The Grants Process” at the top of the left hand column on the website. You will get a step by step direction to writing a proposal.
