Civic learning that is central to the foundation's interests addresses questions about whether and how schools and other
learning venues can encourage civic activity, in both the short- and long-term. Three major priorities are powerful motivations
and psychological processes; aspects of enabling learning experiences and environments; and societal or group
norms, political processes or events, historical and cultural trends, and other contextual influences on individual and
group action. Guidelines available for small awards (less than $40,000) an large.
