Ms. Latonia K. Gilbert is a twenty-one year old native of Perry, GA.  She is the youngest of three children by her proud parents Horace and Betty Gilbert.  Ms. Gilbert is a junior with a major of Middle Grades Education.  Her sponsoring organization is her sorority Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.  Since her matriculation at ASU, Ms. Gilbert has been very active on campus as well as in the community.

Ms. Gilbert has participated in various organizations such as:

Ms. Gilbert is devoted to uplifting her community.  She has volunteered at Jenkins White Elementary School as a Step Team Choreographer/Mentor.  She also has volunteered at Augusta Hills Nursing Home and for the Little Steps Program, a program that assists single, low-income mothers with parenting and finding adequate housing and jobs.

Ms. Gilbert plans to continue her college education and obtain a Masters degree and ultimately pursue a career in Middle Grades Education.  She wishes to continue to make ASU schooling enriching and enjoyable academically and non-academically by bringing integrity, prestige, energy, enthusiasm, and work ethic to the college as well as the student body.
