The Augusta State University has a rolling admissions policy. Students may seek entry into the program by completing the appropriate application. Once submitted, applications and their essays are reviewed by our Director. Criteria considered includes SAT and/or ACT scores, high school or previous institution's GPA, transcript evaluation, and your essay's content.

Entering Freshmen

If you are an entering freshman who meets one of the following criteria, you are invited to join the Honors Program at ASU:

  • A Combined SAT Math and Verbal score of 1160 or higher and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.2 or better
  • A Combined SAT Math and Verbal score of 1100 or higher and a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or better

Transfer or Current ASU Students

If you are a current ASU student, or are transferring from another institution, we invite you to apply to the ASU Honors Program if you meet one of the following criteria:

  • Transfer Students:
    • An unadjusted GPA of 3.4 or better with a minimum of nine semester hours from another institution
    • SAT Math and Verbal scores totaling at least 1160
  • Current ASU Students: Must not be enrolled in Learning Support, and must have a GPA of 3.4 or higher after completing at least nine credit hours.
