SACS COC

Augusta State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges (COC)of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097: Telephone number 404-679-4500, extension 4504) to award associate's, bachelor's, master's and specialist's degrees. The purpose of publishing the commission's contact information is to enable interested parties 1) to learn about the accreditation status, 2) to file a third-party comment at the time of the institution's review or 3) to file a complaint against the institution for alleged non-compliance with a standard or requirement. Normal inquiries about Augusta State, such as admission requirements, financial aid, etc., should be addressed directly to the institution and not to the commission.

Reaffirmation 2012
Augusta State University is a member of the SACS COC Class of 2012. In 2012, the university will host an onsite visit for SACS COC evaluators as well as present the COC with electronic documents that will prove to the evaluations that the university is doing that it should to maintain its accreditation. ASU SACS COC Liaison
Dr. Marsal P. Stoll is ASU's Commission staff representative. Dr. Stoll earned her MS in 1981 and her EdD in 1994 from the University of Buffalo. Before receiving her current vice presidential appointment with SACS COS, Dr. Stoll held a variety of positions in higher education including president of Houston Community College's Coleman College of Health Sciences as well as vice president for instruction and student services at Piedmont Community College in Charlottesville, VA.
