The Office of Information
Technology Services
(ITS) is the primary provider of information technology
for Augusta State University and are staffed by a combination
of full-time professionals and student assistants that
allow us to provide a wide range of services. Our goal
is to support the mission of ASU by providing technological
leadership and service for the campus while focusing on
customer service for our constituent groups - our students,
our faculty and our staff.
Some of the services we provide include web
accounts for the development of departmental and personal
web sites, support for eight general purpose computer labs
two of which are accessible 24 hours a day, help desk support
for the campus, and administrative support for applications
such as Banner and Peoplesoft.
The campus network, JagNET, connects all
of the administrative and classroom buildings via fiber
optic cabling and provides access for over 1900 workstations
and 50+ file servers.

Technology Services
Information
Technology Services supports
the educational mission of the University by providing
technical expertise in the maintenance and delivery of
a wide range of electronic information technologies for
faculty, staff, and students. The department also provides
campus-wide leadership in planning, evaluating and building
the human resources and the physical network infrastructure
in support of current and future academic and administrative
systems. These departmental efforts help to improve the
link between faculty, staff and students with the world
community of scholarships. In the pursuit of its mission,
the department is dedicated to providing timely, accurate
and courteous service to its many clients.

Maureen Akins - Assistant Director for Instructional
Services
Instructional Services serves Information Technology Services and the University by providing support, in conjunction with the other branches of Information Technology Services, for the endeavors of the University, especially those with an emphasis on instructional technology-related efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, the following.
- Consulting with faculty to select appropriate technologies to suit the teaching objectives
- Providing training on the concepts and usage of instructional technologies
- Providing leadership, training, and administration for learning and learning-related systems
- Acting as a voice for faculty and students during internal IT discussions
- Evaluating upcoming technological trends in academic computing
- Serving as a conduit for information on learning technology efforts within the campus, the University System, and beyond

Director for Network Services
Network Services is the Internet,
LAN, and Wireless Service Provider for Augusta State
University (ASU). Network Services supports two campuses
(Walton Way and the Athletic Complex on Wrightsboro
Road). In addition, we support the computing needs
of University Village.
Bill English - Assistant Director for Programming and
Systems Services
Adminstrative systems at ASU are supported by Programming
and Systems Support (PSS). Our technical
staff provides and maintains efficient administrave
software systems for collecting, analyzing, disseminating,
and acting upon information essential to the long
range mission as well as the daily operations of
the University. PSS manages the University's shared
institutional data and provides access for emplyees
and student fo the University through our client-server
(Banner, PeopleSoft) and web applications. Above
all, we are responsible for the confidentiality,
integrity,. security, reliability, and availability
of information services for the University.

Janice Deloach - Assistant Director for
Support Services
Support Services provides assistance for faculty,
staff and students who are using any of the campus
computing resources. We provide a HelpDesk Team that
responds to problems and general questions and a Support
Team for other services such as consultation for purchase
of computer equipment and software, installation of
software and hardware, and training in the use of the
ASU technology resources.
