- From your Desktop: Click PC Management Tools | Campus Software | All Departments | SSH Client (or go to My Computer and in the Address window type in \\fsfs2\CampusSW and select All Departments | SSH Client)
- Drag the file: putty.exe to your Desktop
- Double click the putty.exe icon on your desktop
- The window: Open File - Security Warning may display, if so, click RUN
- The PuTTY Configuration window will display.
- In host name: Enter the server name you have been given by ITS
- In Protocol: Select SSH
- In Saved Sessions: Type in the session name you have been given by ITS
- Click SAVE
- Click OPEN
- The first time you access the server with PuTTY, the PuTTY Security Alert window will display, click YES to continue.
- Double click the PuTTY.exe icon on your desktop. The window: Open File - Security Warning may display, if so, click RUN
- Under Saved Sessions, select the session name you used for your initial setup
- Click LOAD
- Click OPEN
