I've clicked on my browser, and "The
page cannot be displayed" message comes up.
- Confirm you are in a wireless cloud.
- Click
here to locate WAASU clouds. If you are not under a
cloud, find a cloud location and again. If you're under
a cloud, continue troubleshooting.
- Check your wireless card settings. From
Control Panel | Network Connections review
the following information:
- Disable other network connections such as LAN or Bridge.
(This may not always be necessary, but for some computers
it will make a difference)
- Confirm wireless card is enabled.
Confirm your wireless card is enabled. If disabled, enable
the card.
- Right click on the wireless card and choose Properties .
From the General tab select Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties .
Click "Obtain an IP address automatically" and
click "Obtain DNS server address automatically" .
Click OK
- If there is a RED X on your Wireless Network Connection,
right click on the wireless card and choose "View
available wireless networks" . The Wireless
Network Connection box will display showing WAASU
as an available network. Click the box "Allow
me to connect to the selected wireless network even though
it is not secure" Click CONNECT .
You should now see your Wireless LAN connection in the
lower right hand Task Bar.
- If you still are not connecting
and you are using Internet Explorer confirm the proxy
settings.
- From the Internet Explorer menu bar select Tools
| Internet Options . Click the Connections tab
and click LAN SETTINGS . Make sure the "Use
a proxy server" box is unchecked.
- If you continue to have problems, contact the Help Desk
for assistance.
