Wireless Access @ ASU

Welcome to WAASU - (Wah-Zoo)

Wireless provides network access to the World Wide Web from a variety of locations on campus without a cable physically connected from the wall to your PC. Imagine eating lunch in the outside patio area at Washington Hall - reading email or getting caught up with your class notes via Campus Pipeline

Standard Wireless Service is available to all ASU faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.

  • There is no additional software to install.
  • When you open your internet browser you are prompted to logon to WAASU using your JagNET ID and password.
  • You can access the web with this service.
  • Instant Messenger services are available (FTP not included).
Where are the clouds

You can connect to WAASU where ever there is a wireless cloud. A cloud is an area covered by the wireless network. Reception within the clouds will vary. Some areas have an excellent signal while others areas are low.
