WAASU Troubleshooting Guide

I've clicked on my browser, and "The page cannot be displayed" message comes up.

1. Confirm you are in a wireless cloud.

Click here to locate WAASU clouds. If you are not under a cloud, find a cloud location and again. If you're under a cloud, continue troubleshooting.

2. Check your wireless card settings. From Control Panel | Network Connections review the following information.

Disable other network connections such as LAN or Bridge. (This may not always be necessary, but for some computers it will make a difference)

Confirm wireless card is enabled. Confirm your wireless card is enabled. If disabled, enable the card.

Right click on the wireless card and choose Properties . From the General tab select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties . Click "Obtain an IP address automatically" and click "Obtain DNS server address automatically" . Click OK

If there is a RED X on your Wireless Network Connection, right click on the wireless card and choose "View available wireless networks" . The Wireless Network Connection box will display showing WAASU as an available network. Click the box "Allow me to connect to the selected wireless network even though it is not secure" Click CONNECT . You should now see your Wireless LAN connection in the lower right hand Task Bar.

3. If you still are not connecting and you are using Internet Explorer confirm the proxy settings.

From the Internet Explorer menu bar select Tools | Internet Options . Click the Connections tab and click LAN SETTINGS . Make sure the "Use a proxy server" box is unchecked.

4. If you continue to have problems, contact the Help Desk for assistance.
