Our Purpose


Online resource vendors periodically provide opportunities for librarians within the GALILEO communities to review vendor product offerings through the use of temporary trials.

GALILEO has made it possible to access current trial offerings via this password protected page because these products may be of interest for libraries for their own local purchase, for possible group cost-sharing purchase, or for possible consideration by the GALILEO Collection Development Committee. Therefore, while trials may not result in GALILEO access, your feedback is important to inform future decision makers.

In addition to the GALILEO community trials, Augusta State runs trials of databases for our community. Free trials on this page can only be accessed from workstations on ASU campus unless a username/password is given.

This fully searchable Web-based resource features the vast majority of U.S. newspapers by circulation, along with almost one thousand hard-to-find local and regional titles, the majority of which are unavailable elsewhere. Additionally, Access World News offers searchable news video clips, transcripts, web only content, and over a thousand international titles
