GALILEO Password Tutorial: This link leads to a short 5 minute video produced by the Reese Library Outreach Department showing people how to get the GALILEO password. This password is the key to access many resources in Georgia's University system libraries resources. This password is needed to view the extensive online journal and book resources when you are not using a campus computer. (On-campus computers access these materials automatically.) If you use your GILFind account, the password is on the front page after you log in and the tutorial is unneccessary. The tutorial is very helpful for those who are still using the classic GIL interface.
Contact Numbers: This is a list of the departments and staff members of Reese Library. You may call any of these for assistance, but your question might get transfered to someone better experienced to handle it. General questions can be handled by anyone on staff, just flag one of us down in the library.
Ask A Librarian: This form can be filled out to ask a research question of the Reese Library Reference Desk. The reference librarian on duty monitors the email sent by this form and will either answer the question submitted or will refer it to someone better equipped to handle it. These are always answered provided you provide accurate contact information. (*We hate it when our answers wind up in the bit basket due to a mistake in the email address!)
Request a Research Appointment: This form is a good way to increase the effectiveness of your visit to the reference desk. It is especially good for detailed research needs of a well defined problem. Giving the information on the form enables the best qualified librarian to take the question and do some background research before the appointment. All our librarians are good at a broad range of subjects, but each has a different set of special interests due to their backgrounds, interests and studies.
