The Reference Desk is the place to go when you have information needs. The person manning the desk will assist you to find the information you need and help you refine your topic. The assistance can be very extensive or just a little direction.
Circulation
Circulation Manager: Veronica Corradino (phone: (706) 667-4898) EmailThe Circulation Desk assures the smooth flow of materials to patrons. They manage the GIL-Express and Inter-library loan process. They check materials in and out for patrons. They assure books are in good repair and properly shelved. In short, they are a key public service area of the library.
Government Information

The collection consists of print, media, visual, and digital collections. Its goal is to keep all citizens connected with information released by the largest publisher in the world, the Government Printing Office. An informed citizenry is paramount to democracy. Special Collections offers a variety of books, journals, photographs, manuscripts and other primary-source formats that chronicle the history of Augusta State University, the Augusta Georgia, and Central Savannah River Area.
Outreach

Library Instruction

Library Instruction provides classes and instructional material to any class on the campus on the materials and resources available to researchers at Augusta State University. These classes can be tailored to meet the research needs of pretty much any study area, as our librarians have a diverse background. For very specialised research needs it is advisable for the professor to coordinate with the librarian teaching the class enough ahead of time to allow for an optimal learning outcome for the students. Additionally, the Instruction Coordinator teaches an Introduction to Information Literacy course each semester.
Automation
Automation Librarian: Rod Bustos (phone:(706) 667-4903) EmailThe Automation Department coordinates the digital access of Reese Library to the world. Automation keeps the connection to the databases and programs up-to-date. They also maintain and update 71 student access computers in open labs and 23 classroom computers. They also create and update the library web presence and act as advisors on technology questions. They also teach one-on-one sessions on the use of basic computer software for students, staff and faculty.
