Library Instruction: (Camilla Baker):
Summer session 3 instructors are calling to request bibliographic instruction sessions.

Special Collections: (John O'Shea):
Additional map cases and a stand have been acquired and are now in special collections.  The Augusta League of Women Voters’ collection has now been processed.

Technical Services: (Diane Black):
Technical services is continuing the shelf reading project.

Automation: (Jeff Heck):
The new Galileo password will be updated tomorrow.  VLAN changes are presently continuing.

Outreach: (Mellie Kerins):
Reese library will participate in the 1st student orientation this Friday.  The library will staff a table offering information handouts and answering questions.

 

Electronic Resources: (Martha Bryant):
Ebsco has been following up on our Education Source Elite and Business Source Elites trials.

Government Documents: (Joe Schneider):
Stephanie McCollum has been hired for the half-time LTA II position in government documents.  Federal government documents are constantly being placed on the web and taken off by government agencies.  Therefore, online access will be somewhat inconsistent access.  Joe is currently working on finalizing a set of government documents handouts.

Circulation/Associate Director: (Camilla Reid ):
Sandra Reinke and the Political Science department are starting a homeland security track.  For the first year, allocated library funds will be used for this project.  The Music department is concerned about scores and sound recordings being located in separated locations rather than together.  Our Classical Music database will eventually have up to 8,000 scores.  The humanities faculty indicated that they need audio files of classics as well as written works.  We will be adding EAudio Essentials.
