AFCEA Scholarships
AFCEA Postgraduate Fellowships and Scholarships with a
February 1st Due Date:

AFCEA Ph.D. Fellowship for $15,000 and AFCEA Ralph W.
Shrader Master's Degree Scholarships of $3,000 are available.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Enrolled in an accredited in-residence degree program
- Study in engineering, physics, math and computer

AFCEA Scholarships with an April 1 Due Date:
- Any School USA Scholarships (High School)
$1000 scholarships awarded to graduating high school
seniors pursuing undergraduate degrees in computer science, engineering
or related electronic science fields.
- Any School USA Scholarships (College)
$1000 scholarships awarded to full-time college students
pursing undergraduate degrees in computer science, engineering or
related electronic science fields.
The top-scoring recipient of the Any School high school or
college scholarship will receive the "Mallette Scholarship Award" of
$2000. Information on both of these scholarships (Any School USA

AFCEA Scholarships and Grants with an October/November Due Date
- Science Teaching Tools (Application period September 1 -
October 15)
Purpose: The Augusta-Fort Gordon AFCEA Chapter seeks to
promote effective science teaching and to enhance the abilities of
capable teachers in secondary schools within the Central Savannah River
Area (CSRA)
Award: Each award is for $750.00 for
teachers to purchase materials for experiments and activities in the
classroom. The Chapter will award up to ten awards to support computer
science, mathematics and physical science laboratory efforts.
Criteria: Applicants are teachers in the CSRA public or
private elementary, middle or high school system. Selections are based
on the merit of each teacher"s projects and program. More

- Master Teaching Awards (Application period October 10
- November 10)
The Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter of AFCEA annually awards
two grants to deserving CSRA teachers, who desire to obtain their
Master's Degree. The grants are awarded to persons with science, math
or technology emphasis. The grants total $2500 each and will be awarded
in 2 increments (first increment-$1500; second increment-$1000). The
awards are typically presented at the AFCEA Gala Dinner, held during
the Annual Signal Symposium.
Award Criteria:
- Letter of acceptance from college or university or the
most current certified transcript of completed courses and grades
- 2 letters of recommendation (one from supervisor).
- Most recent job evaluation if currently employed).
- One page, double spaced essay explaining academic
interests and goals
- A completed application form (available at www.afcea-augusta.org)

- Tuition Assistance (Applications taken September 15 -
November 1)
The Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter of the Armed Forces
Communications and Electronics Association will provide tuition
assistance to military and DOD Civilian personnel in grades E-6 and
GS-7 and below, who are pursuing their educational goals.
Students must be accepted or enrolled in a college,
university, or technical school. Preference will be given to students
pursuing technology or scientific degree.
