Department Scholarships

The following scholarships are awarded by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Department:

• Jerry Sue Townsend Scholarship
• Joe Mays Robertson Scholarship
• Grover B. Williams Scholarship

Applications should be submitted no later than March 1.

Qualifications for Applicants

New Entering Freshman Applicants

• Must be seeking a degree in either mathematics or computer science.
• Must have a cumulative high school grade point average in all academic subjects of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
• Must have a score of approximately 1100 on the SAT or comparable scores on the ACT
• Must have completed the College Preparatory Curriculum in high school.
• Must have applied and been accepted for admission to Augusta State University.

Returning or Transfer Students

• Must have declared either mathematics or computer science as a major.
• Must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 for all college work attempted.
• Must be currently enrolled or fully accepted to Augusta State University.
• Must be in good standing at Augusta State University, if currently enrolled.
