I had a standing request for a cart this semester. Although I requested both internet and DVD capability, there were often problems. However, once I would go to Media Services to report the problems, the staff was courteous and helpful.

I don't know how you do it on your budget, but regarding malfunctions in stationary instructional technologies, every classroom problem I had in Allgood Hall was efficiently and promptly dealt with. All academic year long. Bob is one fine dude.
Kudos to Edgar and Gordon, who helped me get the videotapes I needed in time to teach my classes. Until I learn to plan ahead more efficiently, I really do appreciate Edgar & Gordon bailing me out.
Over all, Media Services has the best customer service reputation on campus. Has the VPAA considered placing Computer Services under the supervision of Media Services?
Sure hope Bill Gray doesn't find out what he is worth on the open market, for the faculty's sake at least. Give the man a raise.

The computers that I have had set up for me run VERY slow. However, they always show up as promised and the staff is always extremely helpful. What the equipment lacks the staff surely makes up for!

Equipment checkout policy hinders longer study on projects; I totally understand the policy regarding the checkout period for equipment. But in cases where no one is checking the equipment out, another rule should apply that will allow for consecutive check outs for students. Also, I've been at other schools where computer software was accessible to students for use at home via personal equipment. This is the first place that has restrictions on licensed software, restricting use to only campus. I don't know if the rules have changed, but this has been a hindrance on certain situations where home use was needed, but laptops were not available that had appropriate software. For folks who don't live in town, use of campus equipment is a challenge - otherwise, great place! Thanks for all the help!
