Preparing for Graduation
It's almost time! Graduation is just around the corner! What do you need to do to prepare? Well, there's more to do than just finish your coursework and your capstone. Here's what you need to complete for graduation:
The semester before you are expected to graduate, you must apply for graduation by midterm . You complete the graduation application and bring it in to the MPA Degree Program Assistant. She will check your portfolio and academic record and note what is missing before collecting the signature of the MPA Director and the Chair of the Political Science Department.
Once your graduation application is signed, you take it to Business Office, along with your graduation application fee. Have them sign the form, then hand carry it to the Registrar's office.
If you have done this before midterm of the semester before you graduate, you have plenty of time to finish the capstone and collect any items that may be missing from your portfolio. A month before graduation, your portfolio will be checked again, and you will get a reminder if there are items still missing.
A few weeks before graduation, our Degree Program Assistant will contact you to schedule an exit interview. This is an important tool in evaluating our program, so we need your input! The exit interviews are sealed and given to the MPA Director after graduation.
