
The Master of Public Administration requires the satisfactory completion
of 36 semester hours of course work. The program of study must include
the prescribed nine courses (25 credit hours) of the core curriculum;
nine credit hours selected from among the elective courses, and the
capstone course (two credit hours).
The curriculum is designed to address
these competencies:
A) management of public service organizational
skills in human resources management, budgeting and financial processes
management, and information management, including computer literacy
and application.
B) application of quantitative and qualitative techniques of analysis
in policy formulation, implementation and evaluation; as well as
in decision-making and problem-solving.
C) understanding public policy and organizational environment, particularly
political and legal institutions, economic and social institutions,
and organizational concepts and behavior
