Conservatory Program
Since its creation in 1983, the Conservatory Program has provided private and group music instruction of the highest quality to the Augusta area community. With more than fifty faculty members and an annual enrollment of several hundred students, the Conservatory Program of Augusta State University is the area’s leader in music instruction.
The philosophy of the Conservatory Program is that music is for everyone, and is a vital part of the community. We welcome young and old, accomplished and beginner, students of all levels and visions.
We have an outstanding, professional faculty who enjoy challenging the promising musicianship of young musicians as well as guiding the advanced skills of more experienced musicians. Every faculty member in the Conservatory Program has at least an undergraduate degree in Music or Music Education and teaching experience. Among the 50 teachers currently teaching for us, 22 have masters degrees, and 14 have completed doctorates in music. View a list of our faculty.
