NURSING PROGRAM
Associate of Science in Nursing

This program provides initial preparation for professional nursing practice and for beginning positions in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. It is approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing (Secretary of State, Professional Licensing Boards Division, 237 Coliseum Dr., Macon, GA 31217-3858, (478) 207-1300, www.sos.state.ga.us) and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC Inc., 61 Broadway, New York, NY, 10006, (212) 363-5555 x 153, www.nlnac.org). Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded the Associate of Science in Nursing Degree and are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Approval for admission to the licensing examination and subsequent Registered Nurse licensure of qualified applicants for the state of Georgia is granted by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
