Still Swinging was founded in 1997 by Les Still, a native of Cobb County, Ga. Still, a trombone player, received his music degree from Jacksonville State University, Alabama.
Following his lifelong dream, Still spent months researching the best jazz musicians in Atlanta. He has assembled a roster of the finest trumpet, trombone, saxophone and rhythm players in the metro area to create just the right blend. The final product is a unique sound that truly captures the essence of the swing era. Audiences invariably vow that they are in the presence of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey or Benny Goodman when they hear the authentic big band recreation of all the great old charts.
Many of the members of Still Swinging are first call performers, often playing shows at Chastain Park, The Fox Theater and the Atlanta Civic Center.
