Example #1: Error message: Insufficient Appropriation

You submit a travel requisition in the amount of $21,000. It will fail budget checking because you only have $20,000 in your travel appropriation account (600000)

Example #2: Error message: Organization Budget not found

You submit a requisition in the amount of $500 for the purchase of software. It will fail budget checking because an organizational account is not set up in your department. (733000). You will need to contact the budget office in order to get that organizational account set up in your department.

Example #3: Error message: Budgetary Account Only

If you attempt to submit a requisition in the amount of $500 for travel and you select 640000 as your account code, it will fail budget checking because you have not selected a detail level account code. In this case you would need to select 640100.
