To make the process of completing a requisition a little easier you may set you defaults/details tab to automatically fill in the vendor, buyer, and chartfields. This can result in substantial time savings on large requisitions that have many lines. You can only set the defaults for items that will not change through out the req. For instance if you will have different account numbers on the same req, you cannot set the account number in the defaults, but you can set the department and buyer and vendor.
To set the defaults/details tab when you open a new requisition go to the Defaults/Details tab first. That is the 4th tab.
Once you are on the defaults/details tab you will see several fields that you may enter information into.
The fields highlighted in yellow above are the fields that may be preset for your requisition. They do not all have to be filled in. For example if you are not working on a project or grant you would leave that field blank, or if you were going to spend money from more than one account you would leave the account field blank.
