Requirements for the Degree
Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology
What follows is a very brief summary. Minimum grade requirements, course prerequisites, restrictions, and other details are provided in the university's catalog. Students are strongly encouraged to meet regularly with an academic advisor.
1. Complete the university's core curriculum for Areas A-E (42 semester hours)
2. Complete Area F for psychology (18 semester hours)
a. PSYC 1101 (or PSYC 1103 or PSYC 1105)
b. PSYC 2101
c. PSYC 2150
d. Three additional approved nonpsychology courses (see the catalog)
3. Complete the upper-division major courses (30 semester hours)
a. PSYC 3190
b. PSYC 3121
c. PSYC 3122
d. Any two of the following: PSYC 4115, 4125, 4165, 4173, 4180
e. Five additional upper-level PSYC courses
4. Complete minor and elective courses (30 semester hours)
