Lyceum Series presents Taming of the Shrew
Augusta, Ga. - A high-energy, fast paced presentation of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew is sure to wow the audience when it is performed by the American Shakespeare Center’s international touring division on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Maxwell Theatre.
This celebrated troupe uses many of the same elements of Renaissance theatrical production. House lights are left on so that the actors can see the audience and the audience can see each other, thereby establishing a connection and sense of community. Elaborate sets and special affects are not used, so that actors are free to focus on the performance itself.
Admission to this Lyceum Series event is free with a valid JagCard. Tickets for the general public are $7. For more information, call ASU’s Maxwell Theatre box office at 706-667-4100.
