34th annual Math Contest winners
Augusta, GA – Augusta Area Home School, took top honors in the annual Math Contest for high school students hosted by Augusta State University.
Lakeside teams placed second and third, and Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School placed fourth.
Matthew Sheen, Augusta Area Home School, scored the highest on the written test and won first place, and Joseph Shepherd, Augusta Area Home School, took second place.
High school students from Richmond and Columbia Counties, as well as students from schools within a 50-mile radius of ASU competed in this year’s event. The competition consisted of a quick-answer session, team and individual competitions, and a written test.
