An Evening of Jazz with Loston Harris

Augusta, Ga. - An evening of soulful and sultry jazz by pianist and vocalist Loston Harris will be held at Augusta State University as part of its annual Lyceum Series on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom.

Mr. Harris will artfully display his unique style of traditional jazz, gospel, blues, and romance during the performance. Born in Bangkok, Thailand, he has performed as a member of the prestigious Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, led by multiple-Grammy winner Wynton Marsalis. Mr. Harris also appeared as himself in the 2005 comedy movie, Little Manhattan.

Mr. Harris, who has been called the “hip of suburban cool,” was nominated for Best Jazz Vocalist of the Year for his album, Comes Love. Jazz enthusiasts can see him during his live performances at the famed Bemelmans Bar in the Carlyle Hotel in New York City, NY.
