and Procedures
The Office of Public Relations
and Publications is charged with ensuring the accuracy and image of university
publications destined for off-campus distribution, frequently referred to as external
publications.
Publications destined for external audiences must be approved
by the Office of Public Relations and Publications. External communications include
newsletters, magazines, bulletins, brochures, booklets, announcements, invitations,
flyers, posters, programs, and advertisements.
It does not include scholarly
papers, class materials, faculty reports, forms, personal letters, and other correspondence
signed by individuals. Persons who produce these types of documents are responsible
for their content, their accuracy, and their appearance. It also does not apply
to student publications, such as the newspaper and magazine. However, student
publications should conform to the guidelines established for the usage of university
logos.
Our staff will work closely with academic and administrative
units in the planning, writing, and production of external publications so that
the image of the Augusta State University is portrayed accurately, consistently,
and attractively.
