Education. Go Get It.

A pre-launch of a new University System of Georgia initiative, Education Go Get It, was introduced last week on campus by the community relations manager for the program, Dawn Cooper. The program is designed to raise the levels of educational achievement to improve quality of life and economic prosperity.

The program is a partnership uniting all sectors of society—education, business, government, community, and faith-based groups to achieve two goals by the year 2020:

1) to graduate 134,900 students from high school; and

2) enroll an additional 192,000 students in college.

The initiative will launch sometime in early 2005. More information is available at the website, www.georgiaGO.org
