Phi Kappa Phi Student Research Conference will be heldThe ASU Chapter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi will hold its sixth annual Student Research and Fine Arts Conference on Wednesday, March 16, beginning at 12:30 p.m., in University Hall.
The conference allows ASU students to showcase their scholarly and artistic achievements. This year’s program will feature more than 40 paper presentations and 11 poster presentations.
Topics cover a wide range of issues, from the connection between marital status, religion, children, and economic status to the relationship between race and attitudes toward capital punishment; from college students’ knowledge and opinions regarding the 2004 presidential candidates to the effects of teen magazines on adolescent girls. Several student presentations will also deal with the recent controversy surrounding a proposed landfill in Taliaferro County.
