Groundbreaking of the new student activities center

A groundbreaking ceremony will be held for the new Student Activities Center on Tuesday, February 15, at 3:30 p.m.outside Reese Library. Site work has already begun in preparation for the construction, which is being done by R. W. Allen, contractors. The 50,000 square foot building was designed by 2 KM Architects. A two-story atrium will connect the new building to Reese Library. Features of the new facility include a food court, fitness center, game room, two TV rooms, offices and meeting rooms for student activities, student government, and student organizations, a large ballroom, and student study areas.
