A photographic review (continued) Women's Studies and Vagina Monologues cast members present a check for more than $7,000 to SafeHomes of Augusta on March 4 to kick off Women's Week. The check represents proceeds from the play staged at Augusta State last month.
Legislators met with concerned citizens in a public forum at Augusta State University Thursday, March 24, to discuss the lawmakers proposals for changes to the operation of Augustas government. Rep. Ben Allen, Rep. Sue Burmeister, and Sen. Don Cheeks explained the particulars of their bills or proposals and answered questions from the audience. The event was sponsored by the universitys Department of Political Science and CSRA First, and was moderated by Ralph Walker, Research Center.
