Vice President for Academic Affairs search continues

The search for a replacement for Bill E. Bompart, vice president for academic affairs, continues, with the search committee reviewing the 114 applications they have received for the position.

"We have a lot of very good, highly qualified candidates and are narrowing the field down now," said Kathy Hamrick, chair of the search committee.

The committee will narrow the search to between two and four candidates, who will be interviewed in late April or early May, she said.

Bompart's tenure at Augusta State is the longest of any full time employee currently on campus. He is retiring July 1.
