Consultant gathers information about the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre

On March 15 and 16, Mr. Sidney McQueen, principal of McQueen and Associates, visited the ASU campus to gather information about the Grover C. Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre. During this time, he met with several ASU administrators and committees that have an interest in how the theater is best used. The information he gathered about the function and current use of the theater, along with a long range look at the future needs of the university and plans of other theater venues in the area, will be incorporated into a report and recommendations for the future of the theater. This report will include recommendations on how the theater can be revitalized and ensure that it serves the needs of the university. Mr. McQueen will make his report later in the semester.

Mr. McQueen and his company have been involved in the development of fundraising for capital campaigns, marketing and concert planning, interim management responsibilities, and evaluation of programming with theater facilities all around the country.  Among some of the most important of these consultancies are the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., the River Center for the Performing Arts in Columbus, the Kirkland Fine Arts Center at Millikin University, Spivey Hall at Clayton College and State University, and others.
