Daniel Brown, a senior business management major at Augusta State University, was honored as the Co-Op Student of the Year at the annual Cooperative Education Awards Breakfast Friday, March 18, at the Augusta Country Club. Mr. Brown began his co-op in summer 2004 with Wells Fargo Financial, where he currently is a credit manager. He cites the co-op program at ASU and the strong leadership of his supervisor at Wells Fargo for giving him the ability to fine-tune his strengths and abilities in the workplace. The Cooperative Education program at Augusta State allows students to earn a degree while developing the career experience they will need upon graduation. Most job positions are usually permanent, or at least two semesters in length, with more than half resulting in full-time job offers after graduation.
