Fitness room has state-of-the-art equipment for ASU students

The Office of Student Activities has settled into their new home in the new Jaguar Student Activities Center (JSAC), and when fall semester begins this month, more than 6,400 Augusta State students, as well as the university’s faculty and staff, will get to enjoy the new center and its amenities.

A highlight of the JSAC is the fitness center, which is limited to student use only. It contains five treadmills, one Woodway running treadmill, six elliptical cross trainers, two upright bikes, two recumbent bikes, two stair steppers, and an arm bike that is wheelchair accessible.

The equipment, with the exception of the Woodway running treadmill and the arm bike, is equipped with individual TVs.

In addition to the machines, JSAC’s fitness center also includes weighted equipment such as the bicep and tricep curl, chest press, shoulder press, multi-hip, seated leg curl, hip abductor, adductor, rear deltoid, pectoral fly, leg press, abdominal, lateral raise, back extension, lateral pull, dip assist, leg extension, and dual adjustable pulley.
