Fine Arts Center Gallery displays exhibition from Aug 31-Sept. 28
Visiting artists Bridget Conn and Nick Nelson will have their works displayed in an exhibition from Aug. 31-Sept. 28 in the Fine Arts Center Gallery. A reception will open the exhibition beginning at 5 p.m., and highlighting the reception will be a presentation by the artists.
The artists work with the Stillmoreroots Group whose focus is to bring art to underserved communities through non-traditional venues.
Ms. Conn, an art professor at East Georgia College, has exhibited throughout the Southeast and South Korea. Her focus is in photography, mixed media, and installation art. She has permanent collections in Athens, Ga., at the Lyndon House Arts Center and the Green Street Press at the University of Georgia.
Mr. Nelson, art professor at Georgia Southern University, has exhibited at the Board of Regents office, the Emanuel Arts Center Council, and the Georgia state fair. His focus is in mixed media combined with painting, photography, and found objects . Mr. Nelson's artwork has been shown regionally and nationally.
