Living a pain-free life is topic of discussion
Helping people achieve a pain-free active lifestyle is the mission of Egoscue Method Clinics across the United States.
Kathy Mulherin, director of the Egoscue Method Clinic in Atlanta, will discuss this new, nonsurgical technique on Monday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. in 237 Christenberry Field House.
According to its website, the method is a postural therapy program that involves a series of stretches and gentle exercises designed to treat musculoskeletal pain without drugs, surgery, or manipulation, enabling its clients to live relatively pain free.
The Egoscue Method has been used by many people to avoid surgery that has been recommended by their physician, says R. Paul Gustafson, associate professor of exercise science in Department of Kinesiology and Health Science.
This event is free. For more information, call the Department of Kinesiology and Health Science at 706-737-1468.
