The series will cover a range of topics including international medicine, biohazards and disaster medicine, medical ethics, alternative medicine, and more. The first event, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Maxwell Theatre, will focus on health maintenance and disease prevention. Dr. Satcher will present, What Americans Can Do to Maintain their Health. Students can also take Cullum as a 3-hour credit course for spring semester, with a lower (2900) and upper (4900) option. The Cullum Lecture Series is an interdisciplinary program that began more than 20 years ago to provide students, faculty, and staff of ASU access to nationally and internationally-known speakers on diverse topics. The semester-long series, supported by the Cullum Foundation of Augusta, ASU, and individual donations provides the campus and the community opportunities to hear experts in a variety of fields, view performances, see films, and tour art exhibits.
