Chairman, chief executive officer, and president of world’s largest Pizza Hut® franchise will visit ASU
James K. Schwartz, CEO and president of NPC International, Inc., the world’s largest Pizza Hut franchise, will be the featured speaker at the Hull College of Business MBA Executive Lecture Series on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 5:30 p.m. in N126 Allgood Hall.
Mr. Schwartz joined NPC International in 1991 and held several positions before being named president in 1995. He was named CEO in 2005. NPC operates more than 800 Pizza Hut restaurants and delivery kitchens in 27 states. In 2006, NPC International, Inc., was acquired by Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity. Mr. Schwartz was then given the additional responsibility of serving as chair of the company’s board of directors.
Mr. Schwartz is also a director of the Unified FoodService Purchasing Co-op Board, the largest purchasing cooperative of its kind in the quick service industry, as well as a member of the Pizza Hut Franchise board, advertising committee, and multiple negotiation committees. He is also a certified accountant. In 2004, he was inducted into the Pizza Hut Hall of Fame.
