Focus on Ethics Speaker Series continues in February
Issues of ethics and accountability fill the media almost daily, and to focus attention on the need for ethical decision making, the Hull College of Business will continue its Focus on Ethics Speaker Series this month.
Maj. Gen. Perry M. Smith, United States Air Force retiree and former analyst for CNN, will be the featured speaker on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 2:30 p.m. in the Jaguar Student Activities Center Ballroom.
Maj. Gen. Smith’s 30-year service included command of the F-15 wing at Bitburg, Germany, where he provided leadership to 4,000 personnel. Later, he served as the top Air Force planner and as the commandant of the National War College.
He is the president of Visionary Leadership of Augusta. He is also a teacher, speaker, TV and radio commentator, and best-selling author. Television viewers worldwide came to know him during the Persian Gulf War for his appearances as a military analyst for the CNN show, The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, NBC news, and CBS television. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Maj. Gen. Smith earned a doctoral degree in international relations from Columbia University.
