The guest speaker for this year’s program will be Roslyn McCallister Brock who made history in 2001 as the youngest person and the first woman to be elected as vice chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors. Known as an innovative leader, Ms. Brock has been recognized by several national publications. In 1989, she was named a “Future Leader” by Ebony magazine, and in 1987 Good Housekeeping named her one of “100 Young Women of Promise.” In her professional life, Ms. Brock is director of system fund development for the Sisters of Bon Secours Health System, Inc., in Marriottsville, Md. She has also served in many capacities in civic and professional organizations including the American Public Health Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Junior Achievement, and community mental health organizations.
