During the annual holiday luncheon for all Physical Plant employees, President William A. Bloodworth, Jr., announced that Eric Glasker from grounds and maintenance was the department’s Employee of the Year.
“It’s an honor that people think of you like that and would vote for you,” Mr. Glasker says about being named Employee of the Year. “I’m proud of my work ethic.”
Mr. Glasker, a crew chief, has been working at ASU for six years and enjoys working outdoors because it’s completely different from his second job as a prep cook at Brandon Wilde.
Mr. Glasker was surprised to be chosen as the Employee of the Third Quarter and even more surprised to be named Employee of the Year. He is not just partial to his grounds and maintenance crew, either. He is fond of working at ASU.
“It’s a good place to work,” he says. “I want to retire at Augusta State.”
When Mr. Glasker is not working, he enjoys watching television and spending time with his family.
