Construction Update

July 8 - Renovation of the Writing Center for the office of  Counseling and Testing Center will begin.

July 15 - Begin environmental demolition (exterior - roof) - This will involve removal of the 4-in. thick concrete roof panels. Each panel weighs approximately 1,200 lbs. A crane will be used to remove the panels.

Late July - Fine Arts parking lot will reopen.

August 1 - Begin removal of flooring in the unoccupied buildings.

August 2 - Front entrance and parking lot for University Hall will open.

August 11 - Moves will have been completed into University Hall.

August 16 - Begin building demolition (Markert / Science / Hardy).

November 1 - Preliminary construction activities begin on the Student Activities Center. The faculty parking lot beside the library will close, and the area will be used by the contractors as a construction "laydown" area.

November 15 - Demolitions of Hardy and Markert Halls, and the old Science Building will be completed.

December 15 - Construction begins on new Student Center.

Early January - Renovations of Bellevue Hall will be completed.

April 2005 - Parking #6, next to Skinner and Markert Halls, will reopen.
