Augusta State has been selected by the local Easter Seals center to be featured on its 12th annual "Ornament of Hope." One or more of the original arsenal buildings will be depicted on the ornament, which features a historic landmark in the Augusta area each year. Previous ornaments have depicted the Woodrow Wilson House, the Marbury Center, St. Paul's Church, the United States Courthouse, The Partridge Inn, Ezekiel Harris House, Old Government House, Academy of Richmond County, Sacred Heart, and the Cotton Exchange. Sales of the 24-carat gold on brass, limited edition ornaments benefit the local Easter Seals center, which serves individuals with disabilities and special needs. The ornament will be available in September, and will be introduced at a news conference on campus.
